Autumn 2021 Course Finals - Interdisciplinary Sampler
During the week of December 13th, we captured a sampling of 3 different Autumn 2021 course finals held at ACCAD. Each of these courses (2 ACCAD, 1 Design and 1 Music course) challenged students to gain expertise and engage with various modes of digital and technical media in the fields of music, design, and 3D animation.
Computer Game Art and Design
Taught by Design faculty member Scott Swearingen.
ACCAD 6002 "Computer Game Art and Design I" and Design 4104, "Intermediate Game Design I"
The courses taught simultaneously are designed to introduce students to concepts for design and prototyping of games for entertainment, learning and social good. The students are tasked with creating “analog” board games that incorporate these principles. On the final day, friends and colleagues are invited to play the games in a final board game extravaganza.
Music 5677.01 – Multimedia

On Tuesday, Dec 14th students presented their final projects in ACCAD’s Motion Capture Studio. This course covers conceptual and practical computer coding concepts used to explore the relationships among sound, visual media, composition, performance, and computer programming.
ACCAD 5003 – Computer Animation II
