Sonic and Visual Offerings During COP26

Norah Zuniga Shaw performing

Over the next several days, concurrent with the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference #COP26, Norah Zuniga Shaw will be offering sonic and visual resources inviting reflection, interaction, and dialog around the climate crisis and just transitions. For this iteration, Norah is currently sharing these on Instagram. Join her at @livablefuturesnow and at @wexarts.

As part of a yearlong residency at the Wexner Center for the Arts, Norah is exploring digital performance capture including immersion and audience interaction. She draws on resources from her collaboratively created transmedia performance rituals Climate Gathering and Livable Futures podcast. Along with the visual and sonic aspects of the work, Norah and her co-creators are sharing prompts that extend some of the ritual activities and forces of the work. From this, they hope to provide an alternative landing place for viewers' own creative reflections alongside the gathering of world leaders in Glasgow.
